The number of Vancouver Canucks on the NHL COVID-19 protocol list has grown to 17 after the most recent round of testing.
There also are two players on the taxi squad and three coaches in the COVID-19 protocol, The Athletic reported Tuesday.
The Canucks players in the protocol are: Travis Boyd, Jalen Chatfield, Thatcher Demko, Alex Edler, Adam Gaudette, Travis Hamonic, Jayce Hawyrluk, Nils Hoglander, Braden Holtby, Bo Horvat, Quinn Hughes, Marc Michaelis, Zack MacEwen, Tyler Motte, Tyler Myers, Antoine Roussel and Brandon Sutter.
The Canucks had been tentatively scheduled to return to play on Thursday, but that won't happen. Their next game is set for Monday in Edmonton, according to the team's official online schedule.
The NHL didn't make an official announcement about further postponements for Vancouver but on Monday announced a schedule change for the Calgary Flames for Saturday. The Flames were scheduled to face the Canucks that day but instead will play the Oilers.
The Canucks last played March 24.
When Vancouver does return to play, the team might not be able to rely on much help from its American Hockey League affiliate in Utica, N.Y. The Comets haven't played since March 10 because of the league's COVID-19 protocols.
